12 Tags of 2016 - March Remix

Hello and welcome to my Remix layout for March. I am creating an album full of 8x8 layouts using the techniques featured on Tim Holtz' 12 tags of 2016. You can check out the inspiration tag here...

It took me a while to come up with a concept. I love the techniques used, I just wasn't sure on a starting point. Then I found a piece of white corrugated cardstock in my scrap box. Sweet! Off and running now...
I cut a piece of scrapbook paper down to 7" by 7", distressed the edges and set that aside. I took another piece of paper and cut it down so it would fit through the Big Shot. I really love the new mixed media dies. The flourish is my favourite right now.
I brushed glue and seal over the back of the cut card stock and adhered it to the corrugated paper. Once it was dry, I ripped the edges to give it a more distressed look, then glued that down to the larger piece of background paper.
I don't have the distress crayons, but while I was at the art supply store, I found this pack of 24 colors for 7 dollars (that's like what? 1 American dollar? LOL) They blend beautifully. It was definitely a steal of a deal.
I like using the Tombow glue for foiling, I find that if I use a glue stick, the foil will actually rub off. The Mono glue is a 2 way glue. Apply randomly with your finger, and let it dry. Once it is clear, apply the foil over top.

Thanks for taking a look today, see you soon...
