Tropical Tiffany Lamp

Hello again, I haven't posted a lot of projects lately. I have been busy enjoying the nice weather and my newly landscaped back yard. It's still a work in progress, but I ran out of money hahaha 😫

I did make something just for me though. this project is from the Boho Butterflies SVG Kit
Boho Butterflies SVG Kit
It took a bit of editing and piecing together, but I really love how it turned out.
I've made a few of these lamps - halloween, Christmas, snowflakes...but this one is my FAVORITE
I used 3 different images for the "stained glass"; A tropical leaf, hibiscus and wave pattern. They were downloaded from the Silhouette Design store.
I had some really cool seashell patterned vellum in my stash, I bought it years ago. I don't think you can even get it anymore.
I colored the vellum with my Copic markers using shades of green down to turquoise.
What'd'ya think? I think it turned out rather spectacular.

Thanks for stopping by, I will see you soon.

  4. What a beautiful lamp! Can I ask you what program you used to recreate the shade?

    1. Hi Denna, I used the Silhouette Studio software. I had some cut files (waves, hibiscus and leaves) and I cut and welded them onto the light shade. some didn't weld as well as they should have so I ended up cutting them out separately and gluing them onto the frame of the shade. thanks for looking and leaving a question for me. always appreciated.
