12 Tags of 2016 - January
Hi there,
Here is my tag that I made for the January remix from Tim Holtz' blog. you can check out the steps here
The tag is huge, so I was able to stamp the cityscapes across the width of it.
the only thing I did a little different was to use the Ink transfer sheet on the globe, it gave it a nice permanent white line and I smudged in some chalk on the continents.
I was going to use the "January" title on my layout (see last post) but I decided not to. Instead, I cut it out and used it as a floating layer on my tag.

12 Tags of 2016 - January Remix
I resolve to make the 12 tags of 2016 this year. I don't typically make resolutions because I don't need to disappoint myself by the middle of February (hahaha).
I thought that instead of tags, I would make 8x8 layouts. Scrapbook pages are the same concept as cards, just bigger - with a focal point picture. Scrapbook layouts can be made into cards just by substituting a photo with a design element and decreasing the size. (The cards I make are usually 5x7 or 6x6) Makes sense right?
Here's the supplies I used...
And here's my layout...

I absolutely love that picture of Central Park NYC I found on Pinterest. I used it for one of my January layouts for Urban Scrapbook's Monthly kit this month too.
You can see Tim Holtz' January tag on his blog - http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2016-january/
I think it's going to be a lot of fun doing the "remixes" this year. So many techniques, so little time.

Urban Scrapbook's Monthly Challenge - January part 2
I had so much fun doing the first layout, and I had great paper and stickers left over, so I made another layout.
I cut around the snow flake in the bottom left corner and slid my striped paper underneath. Before I did that though, I cut the striped paper with Tim Holtz' on the edge die (snowflakes).
Guess what was left as scraps? The blue border, which I used as the title mat.
Then it was just a matter of layering my stickers and adding a little glitter to the page.
Urban Scrapbook's Month Challenge - January
Welcome to another Urban Scrapbook's monthly layout kit. Oh Bo Bunny, how I love you.
The kit is full of wintery goodness - stickers, chipboard and sparkly papers. The colors are gorgeous too. Hurry down to Urban to get your kit, they sell out fast.
I began by fussy cutting the mugs out of one sheet. Then I took the pale blue/aqua paper and stamped it with the large sweater pattern (Tim Holtz). I used Chipped Sapphire D.I.
I added some white pigment ink (Ranger) over the burlap just to wash it out a bit. It was still looking a little plain, so I cut the Holiday Knit dies for a border on the top and bottom
The chipboard snowflakes were embossed with blue powder, with a layer of clear UTEE over that. I dabbed Picket Fence distress paint on top, heated it again so it would melt in.

Then I just started layering and adding Vintage Platinum glitter around the picture and borders.
