Tacos 2 Go

Food Trucks! This is the last project from the Pit Stop Box Cards kit
I made 2 versions of this card. This one here is the second. I used bright colored papers and some clip art to embellish the truck. I made a sign board with some of the leftover pieces
look how cute they are together...
the orange and green one was hand colored. I cut out everything in white paper. I found an old stamp set that had a southwest theme in my stash. (I literally have not used it for years and years. I'm sure I bought it almost 15 years ago)
I see a whole variety of food trucks with this one. Maybe a coffee 2 go, or burger and fries? The possibilities are endless.
Thanks to Mary for another great kit! I had a lot of fun with this one. I will definitely be making more box cards to give away from this set.

Let's Make a Pit Stop

Hello again,
I know right? another post?  I have been busy playing in my art room.
I love it when I buy a new kit from SVGCuts.com. The cute "Pit Stop Box cards" kit is really fun and easy to put together.
not much explanation needed for this one. I printed off a Starbucks logo and cut it out with a circle die that I had. I also embossed the green panels with a Tim Holtz embossing folder.
The other 2 were assembled as Mary designed them. So adorable.

See ya soon

Dad's Day

SVGCuts.com kits used in this post
My friend wanted me to make some Father's day cards for her using photos. Remember the Mom's Memory Card post? Well, this is part 2.
Her guy is really into hockey, so I adapted the birthday cake box card into the Stanley cup. I added a bunch of hockey logos and players to the card. I think it turned out pretty cool.

and here is the card to go with the other one I made. They look really cute together (the cards and her mom and dad)
Well that's it for Father's day projects.  Thanks for taking the time to visit. I will see you soon!

Tackling Dads Day

If you saw my last post, I used the Sunday With Dad kit to make the burger box card.
The tackle box card is in the same kit and it is fabulous.
I cut all the lures out with white paper and hand colored them with markers and paint.

I found this great little fishing line thingy (that's the technical term hahaha) at the dollar store. I wanted to add it on to the box but I ended up giving the card to my neighbor before I had the chance.
Thanks for stopping by, I have one more Father's Day post to share with you tomorrow.

Do You Want Fries With That?

        Kits used in this post

Hi Everyone:
Just wanted to do a quick post to celebrate the Father's out there.
Are these burger box cards not adorable? I loved how the first one turned out,so I made another one.
The box of fries turned out to be the perfect "side order"

turns out, I don't have any father's day stamps or sentiments so I had to computer generate my phrases - that's ok, it's easy enough to do in Silhouette Studio.

thanks for stopping by, happy bbq season!!

Baby Love

Hi friends,
Babies are such a wonderful and beautiful excuse to make stuff. Hahaha
My neighbor's daughter had her first baby at the beginning of May. Congratulations to them.
While shopping at Urban Scrapbook and chatting with my gals there, we came up with an idea to make a diaper bag/gift bag to put a"baby's first year" album inside.

Look at this adorable paper! so so cute It's from Photo Play . I fell in love with the little otter and the hipster giraffe. You may recognise the bag from previous posts. It's from SVGCuts' Brunch Party kit
Brunch Party SVG kit
paper used for bag

below is the matching album. I used a larger wire coil to allow for album expansion.
The pages inside the album were all designed on my Silhouette Studio workspace. I have a ton of graphics downloaded from the hungry jpeg. I kept the album quite minimal using black and white with just a little splash of color on the pages
each month has a different watercolor animal, so on the back page I grouped them all together into a collage pic.

Now all I have to do is give the gift to the new parents.
Thanks for taking a look, I will see you soon.😉

Urban Scrapbook's Monthly Challenge Kit - June

Hello my friends,
This month's kit is available at Urban Scrapbook! It's a very "manly" kit, (Hey Mister from My Mind's Eye) perfect for the guys in your life.  You can check out the team's take on the kit over the month of June at our blog.
I'm not gonna lie...I did struggle with this one for a while. I had to resort to a scrapbook sketch for inspiration. I knew that my fur babies would match the papers in the kit so I decided to go with a geometric block pattern for the layout.

I added some star die cuts (Stacked Stars-Tim Holtz for Sizzix) and made the top left and bottom right panels with the ephemera pack included in the kit.

Thanks for dropping by,  I will see you soon
