Lucky Dogs

How about a really late St. Patrick's day card I made?
The box card is from "Springtime Box Cards" at SVGCuts.com
here
Springtime Box Cards SVG Kit
So What did I do? I cut the box card base and panels. For the clover, I used a png graphic file Ipurchased from the hungry jpeg instead of the SVG.
I replicated the clover - resizing as needed - and cut those out. Luckily, there was some flowers in the png selection as well. (I have a TON of graphic files on my computer) I couldn't even say which one it was.
The dogs are a file I purchased from the Silhouette Store. I set them up as a print 'n cut.
Once everything was printed, I cut out the pieces and assembled the card.
Lastly, I cut out a clover wreath (memory box) using a die that I have and embellished the front of the card.

Thanks for dropping by, I am really behind on my blogging, but better late than never.
See ya soon...

Flamingo Wardrobe Decor

I wanted to share my little home decor project I made to hide away some of the junk that accumulates on my kitchen counter. This project took me quite a while to make, but I really love the way it turned out! I was inspired by the painted furniture I see on Pinterest.

hello!
This cut file is from Snapdragon Snippets, purchased on the Silhouette Design Store.
I opened the file in Silhouette Studio and my first reaction was "oh my..."
Once I started ungrouping things and rearranging pieces, I ended up using about 10 pieces of paper for the armoire itself, and then an extra 3-4 pieces for trim and prettiness.
the assembly tutorial is very helpful and I referred to it quite often. You can check it out here
I did make a couple alterations. I wanted my flap to be part of the door, so I made a paper hinge that is hidden under the left side. (Jody's wardrobe opens the other way)
I layered the keyhole and then embossed it with silver embossing powder.
I also added a dimensional 8 point star on the top embossed with silver as well.
The inside was decorated with paper and elements that I had made a long time ago. I always seem to keep a lot of little things - just in case. ok maybe I'm just a hoarder, but you never know lol!

I think it turned out pretty great. A lot of work, but worth it. It looks pretty cool on my counter.
thanks for looking! See you soon.

Urban Scrapbook's Monthly Challenge Kit - March

Hi! I actually used pictures of me this month!
This month's kit at Urban Scrapbook features Vicki Boutin's paper line "All the Good Things".
You can see the kit here.
I loved the one piece of paper so I cut it on a diagonal to create a double page layout.
the left page uses the transparent overlay under the photo, as well as the word "love" on top.
I added a bit more color with a circle/bubble die from Memory Box
my script was computer generated, then traced onto the paper with a gold detail pen.
The right side page included some of the goodies included with the kit - flowers and charms and pins (oh my). Oh, and I added liquid pearls to the diagonal cut line.
We had a great night on the beach. My annual trek to Thailand always creates new experiences and new friends.
thanks for stopping in, see you soon.
