Urban Scrapbook's August Challenge Kit

Hi Everyone,
I am back with the August layout for Urban Scrapbook. This month it features the Lori Whitlock
"I ♥️Sunshine " collection from Echo Park. I love the vibrant colours in this kit. I didn't have any trouble finding photos to put on this layout.
I used a lot of diecuts on this one, as well as a couple of rogue stamps
In the background you might see the Large Leaf Palm (P0274 Stampington & Co.)
and the Hibiscus embossing folder (Crafts-Too)
Dies used (ok, here goes)
Memory Box.     Elegant Scrollwork
                          Riviera Corner
                          Happy Hibiscus
PoppyStamps.   Meadow Leaf large and small
Cottage Cuts.    Hibiscus Flower
Dee's Distinctively.       Pine Springs (I know, right? I think they look like palm fronds)

The Bird of Paradise is a  Fran's jumbo from Stampendous. I coloured it with pencil crayons. I don't colour enough with my old expensive set of Lyra pencils. I am always pleased with the results, they're tucked out of the way in my art studio, so I always forget to pull them out.
Thanks for stopping in, and make sure you stop in at Urban Scrapbook to pick up your kit before they sell out. You can check out the other pages done by the talented ladies at Urban over on the blog.

Urban Scrapbook's July Challenge Kit

Oh I am late. I TOTALLY forgot to post my monthly page for Urban Scrapbook.  This month we used "Travel Stories" from Carta Bella. The stencil is included! As soon as I saw the papers, I knew exactly which photos to use.
After a long haul flight from Vancouver to Hong Kong, we were absolutely ecstatic to learn we got bumped up to first class for the 5 hour flight to Bali. Best nap on an airplane EVER! It's so nice to be able to lie down and sleep. Real dishes, real stemware and champagne galore. A girl could get used to that kind of lifestyle.
Hurry down to Urban Scrapbook. The kits usually sell out, but you can still scrapbook your own travel stories with the paper line sold in individual sheets.

Old Town General Store

Happy 4th of July to my American friends. To Celebrate, I made 3D General Store, Americana Style.
SVGCuts.com had a new kit and as soon as I saw the store, I knew I had to have it.

Isn't it cute?! I stamped the base with Tim Holtz' big woodgrain stamp in Barn Door distress ink.
After assembly, I discovered that I glued it on the wrong way, so this is actually base #2.
I coloured the shutters and door with copics as well as the banner and stars (side of house)
The signs were made by turning the cut file into a print 'n cut in my Silhouette Studio program.
And the girls?  Paper doll cut files, oh those pieces were so tiny, but they look rather festive in their red white and blue.
I can imagine a Coke machine out front or some antique odds and ends on display. We are only limited by our imagination. I think this will be a great addition to my other houses this Christmas.
Happy long weekend y'all. Be safe and have fun.
