Say cheese!
I am back again with another 3D Bird Crazy project. This time, I used the Instant Camera Box Card from the Parkside Row SVGCuts.com kit. It was really easy to assemble because the Silhouette does all the thinking and cutting for you. But I gotta be me, and made a couple modifications...
I extended the front picture so I could create this fun little "selfie" pic of the Birds. I stamped and masked them to create depth, and then added very subtle color to mimic the still developing instant camera picture.
Remember when we were little (I am dating myself here)? Waiting for that picture to develop and change color right in front of your eyes was fascinating. Was that back in the '70's? Oh my...
The birds were stamped and colored, then cut out with their coordinating dies. Sizzix and Tim Holtz have made it so easy for us to make flocks of these crazy birds.
I added a little filmstrip washi tape around the edges, a big crystal (colored red with a permanent marker) and a fun starburst brad for the embellishments
Thanks for taking a look, I would like to submit this project in the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge blog, which just to happens to be Stamp and Punch/Die cut this time around.
See you soon...

Beach Thug Life
Hi again, I mean, yo yo what up yo? (yeah, I'm not very gangsta am I? lol)
So I kept playing with my Crazy Birds, This time I dressed them up hip hop style. So funny...I laugh every time I look at them with their shirts and sunglasses. I sketched a cap for Long Beak. Once I had it attached, my head went off into a Bird gang direction. Isn't a bunch of crows called a "murder"? Which led to Gangsta, which led to Beach Thug Life.
The palm trees were cut on my Silhouette and I cut the title with Tim Holtz alphabet sizzlets.
Kaisercraft paper was used in the background, and I actually made the "sky" paper with Watercolor paper and Color Burst powders from Colorbox.
Well that's about it, peace out yo.

Beach Bird Life
Hello my friends,
here's a cute little card I made using another one of my bird crazies,
The base is Prima paper folded and cut to 6x6
The "beach life wreath" is from the Silhouette online store here as are the sunglasses for Birdie
I darkened the photo a little so you can see the Mustard Seed distress ink I added in the middle of the wreath, Oh, and the beach "grass" was leftovers I had from another shadow box project. I haven't taken any pics of that one yet.

Urban Scrapbook's September Challenge Kit
Hi, welcome to September, uggg summer is done? How did that happen? I want a do-over.
This month's kit at Urban is from the Basic Grey "Barista" collection.
The kit includes yellows, blacks, browns and some teal accents.
This is a picture of me enjoying a "real" cup of coffee in Kuala Lumpur. After existing on Nescafe in Bali for 2 weeks, a real espresso brewed sweet nectar of the Gods was a "fresh cup of happiness"
I cut out some of the leaves from one of the papers and layered them up with a cut file from my Silhouette.
I used Peacock Feathers distress ink color in some of the leaves.
I sprayed some copper mica powder (mixed with water) over a coffee ring stencil.
I made the stencil on my machine using this cut file.
Vietnam takes their coffee very seriously. We brought the coffee grinder pictured in the middle, home with us
I had lots of leftovers from my kit, so I put together a few cards.
The card on the right (below) is an actual photo of my latte I had sitting outside the hotel in Saigon, Vietnam. I, too, take my coffee very seriously.
Make sure you check out the other layouts for the month of September over on the Urban Scrapbook blog

Beach Birds
hello again my friends,
Are you just crazy about those Birds? I am. I love using them in projects because they make me smile. I started dressing them up too. Check out the Hawaiian print shirt I drew for the one in the front. The finished shadow box measures 10x10x1 inches.
This project is a combination of Pinterest (the awesome background picture), my Silhouette machine (shadow box, rope, tree branch) and the Bird Crazy stamps and dies.
The sunglasses were another cut file from the Silhouette store here.
Thanks for stopping in, I have a couple more Beach bird projects to share with you...stay tuned.
