Celebrate!

Here's one more birthday card that I made for my other daughter. Both of my girls were born in January. My oldest turned 26.  She, too, is a beautiful, intelligent and articulate person.

I have been using a lot of graphic png images on my cards lately. This graphic bundle is called
Winter Animal Tea Party. I purchased it from the hungry jpeg.

I printed the animals twice so I could layer them. I'm sure I could have set it up as a print and cut, but sometimes I just like to do things "old school" and actually use my exacto knife to cut things out.
I really love personalizing cards for the recipient. It makes the whole creative experience fun.

Thanks for stopping by.  I know I am really behind with my blogging. My annual vacation to Thailand has been a nice mental break for me. Back to reality...see you soon.

A Happy Birthday Text

Here's a contemporary card I made for one of the Paramedics at work. As the admin support, my job is to make sure the staff get some birthday recognition.  LOL well isn't that just perfect for my creativity?
I made a 3D iPhone card with a little insert for everyone to sign.
this was a cut file from the Silhouette Design store:

PRINT & CUT

This design utilizes the Silhouette's print & cut feature. For more information about print & cut designs, please visit silhouetteamerica.com.

I set up the "phone" as a print 'n cut, with text messages for a more personalized card.
Then I made the phone case to enclose the card
It has a magnetic closure as well. I added little enamel dots for some embellishment, but let the graphic design on the card be the star.
this was a fun little project. I can see making more of these in the near future.

Urban Scrapbook's Monthly Challenge Kit - February

Hello everyone,
Welcome to February. Singles awareness month.  hahaha
This month's kit from Urban Scrapbook features paper from Bo Bunny.

My page features an XO cut file from Silhouette Deign Store, and some word phrase stamps from Tim Holtz.  The rest of the supplies are in the monthly kit - ok I lied, I used some wine color embossing powder for the wooden hearts.

you can check out the other design teams pages over at the Urban Scrapbook blog here
bye for now...
